HIPs • EPCs • Floor Plans

Greenhouse Energy Assessors supply HIPs (home information packs) and EPCs (energy performance certificates) and floor plans to Homeowners, Estate Agents, Solicitors and Letting Agents.

Current legislation dictates:
From 14 December 2007, properties marketed for sale in England and Wales will need a Home Information Pack (HIP), which includes a home energy rating.

The Pack includes an Energy Performance Certificate, containing advice on how to cut carbon emissions and fuel bills. Also included are documents such as a sale statement, searches and evidence of title.

From 1st October 2008 all property marketed FOR SALE or TO LET will require an EPC.
Any property marketed prior to the introduction of HIPs regulations and that has been continually marketed since then will from 1st October 2008 also require an EPC.
There are exceptions for certain property types and we will gladly advise you if you are unsure with regard to your particular situation.

Not complying with the requirements can lead to fines for the responsible parties.
